Terms regarding payments, deposits, and project cancellations
Payment Terms
At Kirk Manufacturing, we strive to maintain transparent and fair payment practices for all our welding and metal fabrication projects.
Deposit Requirements
New Project Deposits
For new projects exceeding $1,000, we require a deposit equal to 50% of the estimated total before work begins. This deposit secures your project in our production schedule and covers the cost of materials and labor allocation.
The remaining balance is due upon project completion, before delivery or pickup of finished work.
Large Project Terms
For projects exceeding $10,000, payment terms may be structured as follows:
- 40% deposit to commence work
- 40% at midpoint of project
- 20% upon completion
Cancellation Policy
Before Work Commences
If you cancel a project before work has begun, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid, minus any non-refundable costs incurred (such as specialized material ordering fees or third-party certification costs).
During Production
If cancellation occurs after work has commenced but before completion:
- Deposit is non-refundable after 48 hours of work commencement
- You will be responsible for payment of all completed work and materials used
- Any remaining balance of the deposit after deducting completed work costs will be refunded
Custom/Fabricated Items
Items fabricated to your exact specifications are non-returnable. Once fabrication is complete, payment in full is required regardless of whether you accept delivery.
Refund Process
Eligible refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of approval. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.

Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns about completed work or billing, we encourage open communication. Please contact us immediately to discuss any issues. We are committed to finding fair solutions for all parties.
Warranty Work
Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. If any welding or fabrication defects arise due to our workmanship within 90 days of completion, we will repair or replace the affected work at no additional charge.
Material Warranties
Material warranties are provided by respective manufacturers and vary by product. We will assist you in pursuing any material warranty claims.
Force Majeure
We cannot be held responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions.
